Diego Maradona An eternal genius dies at 60

“They say once in a lifetime, every man witnesses a miracle, but most do not realize it. I did.” Francis Cornejo, in his book Cebollita Maradona, when recalling his first glimpse of Maradona.

The nation of Argentina and the world mourns the passing away of football legend Diego Maradona. He has died of heart failure two weeks after brain surgery in a hospital in Buenos Aires, having suffered a subdural hematoma condition, a medical condition where blood clots on the brain. 

Dr. Leopoldo Luque, Maradona’s physician, and neurosurgeon confirmed the clot’s evaluation success and had expected Diego to recover. However, tragedy struck when he had suffered a fatal heart attack while recuperating at his home.
